Crayon Bible Help

Getting started

A grown-up sets up each child with a nickname, an animal and a mode. Little Lambs (about ages 3 to 5) hear everything read aloud and tap pictures. Explorers (about ages 6 to 9) read along and put the verse words in order.

The parent gate

Purchases, settings and links sit behind a parent gate that asks a grown-up to type a number written as a word. It keeps little fingers out without an account.

The subscription

The first lessons are free. Crayon Bible Family unlocks every lesson for all your children on all your family's devices. To cancel, open the iPhone Settings app, tap your name, then Subscriptions. To restore a purchase on a new device, open Grown-ups and tap Restore Purchases.

Say it for Pip

Turn on the microphone in Grown-ups to let your child say the verse out loud. Nothing is recorded. If it does not hear your child, check that Crayon Bible has the microphone allowed in the iPhone Settings app.

Clearing a child's data

In Grown-ups, tap Clear a child's data, pick the child and confirm. This cannot be undone.

The Bible text

Memory verses and Bible quotes are word for word from the Berean Standard Bible (BSB), which is public domain. The stories are simple retellings, each checked line by line against the BSB, with chapter and verse shown.
